Francesco Taskayali

Francesco Taskayali (Rome, 4 July 1991) is a very young composer and pianist.

Extraordinarily prolific, he started composing his own music at the age of thirteen and can now boast four record productions, a contract with the INRI CLASSIC label and numerous concerts all over the world. Emre (2010), LeVent (2011) and Flying (2014) are the titles of his first three works that got the attention of the general public, attracting the interest of Warner Music Italy and the independent label INRI up to the production of the brand new album Wayfaring (INRI CLASSIC 2017), where to the sound of the solo piano is added that of arrangements with string instruments and electronics in the songs edited by the producer Ale Bavo, coloring with a new spatial and musical depth the melodies born from the brilliant mind of the composer.

Extraordinary ability to experiment with techniques and styles of musical composition, always lively and sensitive inspiration: these are the two traits that make his artistic personality constantly growing.

Taskayali’s talent allows him to blend his study of classical authors to the modern and contemporary styles, ranging from Ludovico Einaudi’s minimalism to Keith Jarrett’s jazz. This characterizes him with an eclecticism that even surprised the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela on May 9th at the 2012 European Piano Festival, organized by the Representation of the European Union in Caracas to commemorate Europe Day. Taskayali’s talent determined his commendation as the only exponent artist of the Italian delegation.

Throughout the years of 2011 and 2012, Francesco received awards at numerous festivals and signed a contract with the British company The London Sales Ltd. In addition, he sold his piano tracks to short film producers and various clients including TIM Italy Spa, an Italian mobile phone company.

His first international tour led him to perform in London, Paris, Cologne, Rome, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, Athens, Marseilles, Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Bucharest, Jakarta and also Berlin, where he performed on June 2nd 2012 to celebrate the Italian Republic Day. On December 12th of the same year, he completed his first world tour and reopened the Italian tour in the Auditorium of the university of LUISS Guido Carli, in front of a very dense and enchanted audience. The concert was a success both within the university as well as outside of it and was reported by major Italian newspapers like “Il Messaggero”, “La Repubblica” and “Il Corriere della Sera”. He had such a success that, a year later, he was asked to perform there again.

In 2013 Taskayali was still author of concerts in wonderful Italian scenarios, such as at Villa Pignatelli in Naples, during the artistic exhibition of Effetto Museo. In the same period, the young composer signed the soundtrack of historical and current affairs documentaries and advertisements for social communication purposes, broadcasted mainly by Rai programs.

For the recognized artistic and cultural value of his musical commitment, he became a testimonial of LUISS Guido Carli: the University acquired the composer’s musical and image rights for the spot “Insieme si diventa” (“Together We Become”), which was broadcasted during the year.

2014 opened with the release of his third album, Flying. On April 2nd, Francesco Taskayali put art at the service of social commitment once again. Thus, some of his songs became soundtracks of the documentary film “Ocho pasos Adelante”, screened at the ECOSOC Chamber of the United Nations in New York on the occasion of the World Autism Awareness Day. On the same day, the documentary was displayed at the Auditorium del Massimo in Rome during a performance of the young Master.

In 2015 and 2016, Taskayali continued to play his compositions in important art exhibitions, in cities such as Vienna; Los Angeles, where he provided the Italian contribution to the Music Festival on June 21rst 2016; Kiev and Leopoli, on the occasion of the XVI Edition of the Week of Italian Culture in the World promoted by MAECI; Milan, Maratea, Turin. In December he was invited by the Georgian artist Nino Surguladze to perform at a charity event in Tbilisi, in the presence of the President. The event was broadcasted on national television. On April 5th 2017 he did instead his first concerti in China in one of the most prestigious halls in Hong Kong, the Sai Wan Ho Civic Arena.
