Classe ’89, compositrice e musicista salentina, Agnese Contini nella vita è anche una logopedista, professione a cui si avvicina dopo gli studi scolastici a causa di continui problemi alla voce. La sua formazione musicale comincia da bambina, quando al rientro da scuola trascorre i suoi pomeriggi ad ascoltare la sorella maggiore studiare il pianoforte e i vecchi vinili di Chopin, Debussy e Mozart. All’età di 11 anni inizia a suonare da autodidatta la chitarra acustica del padre; plasma la sua ricerca musicale con i dischi dei Beatles (John Lennon principalmente), la chitarra brillante e orchestrale di Brian May nelle musiche dei Queen. Successivamente inizia a studiare chitarra classica accompagnata sempre dai suoi problemi di voce, motivo per cui decide di voler studiare logopedia, la voce e le sue patologie. Si specializza in voce artistica; cura e lavora tantissimo sulla sua voce, riprende a suonare e inizia anche a comporre, sentendosi a suo agio nei solo per chitarra acustica fingerstyle. Si lascia ispirare dalla ricercatezza (anche spirituale) delle musiche di George Harrison, dalle accordature aperte usate da Nick Drake e Jimmy Page e dalle sonorità blues, country e celtiche di John Butler e Steph Strings. Compone così il suo primo album strumentale Dinamiche di volo e lo pubblica il 25 ottobre 2023 con l’etichetta salentina NOS Records Label. La sua musica diventa un modo per raccontare se stessa e ciò che vive, le sue riflessioni sul mondo e la società; il suo modo di suonare è una ricerca continua di nuove sonorità, ma soprattutto una strada per comunicare con la gente.

Born in 1989, Agnese Contini, a composer and musician from Salento, is also a speech therapist, a profession she gravitated towards after experiencing continuous voice problems following her schooling. Her musical journey began in childhood when, upon returning from school, she spent her afternoons listening to her older sister practicing the piano and the old vinyl records of Chopin, Debussy, and Mozart. At the age of 11, she started teaching herself to play her father’s acoustic guitar; she shaped her musical exploration with the Beatles’ records (especially John Lennon), Brian May’s brilliant and orchestral guitar in Queen’s music. Later, she began studying classical guitar, always accompanied by her voice problems, which led her to decide to study speech therapy, focusing on voice and its pathologies. She specialized in artistic voice; she worked extensively on her voice, resumed playing, and began composing, feeling comfortable in solo fingerstyle acoustic guitar. She was inspired by the refinement (including spiritual) of George Harrison’s music, the open tunings used by Nick Drake and Jimmy Page, and the blues, country, and Celtic sounds of John Butler and Steph Strings. She composed her first instrumental album “Dinamiche di volo” (Flight Dynamics) and released it on October 25, 2023, with the Salento label NOS Records Label. Her music became a way to express herself and what she experiences, her reflections on the world and society; her way of playing is a continuous search for new sounds, but above all, a way to communicate with people.
